The pandemic has affected the acting industry in unprecedented ways, but one of the biggest ones is that V.O. actors are now essentially responsible (and expected) to have professional-grade setup at home.
So I went to work converting my coffin-sized closet into a cramped but fully-functional V.O. booth, equipped with a Rode NT1 cardioid mic, Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 preamp interface and Source Connect for professional bookings. It's a pain to get in and out of, and it gets hotter than Hades, but so far I'm loving it.
One of the silver linings I've found during this crisis is being forced to adapt, learn new things, and become more self-sufficient. Stay tuned for more audio projects!
