This annual event is one of LAMDA's largest and most prestigious occasions. After passing the initial stage combat exam in April (which combined basic certifications in rapier/dagger, single sword, & unarmed in one single routine), with the highest possible distinction and the examiner's gold star, I was eligible to participate in Fight Night. Having had small sword chosen for us as our advanced specialization, my partner and I tirelessly rehearsed our routine for two months. Ultimately, about one thousand deep lunges and a few injuries later, we killed it on the night (quite literally in my case as you can see from the video below). The next day we both passed the advanced exam (simply a repeat of the routine for the examiner), and I once again snagged the highest possible distinction with the examiner's gold star.
